Default Belated NGD!

So the package safely arrived at the customs June 30th which was Saturday. I was nervous about the weather condition because the Typhoon was about to hit Korea...I immediately contacted FedEx Korea to do the emergency customs clearance! and also told them I will go to the cargo and pick it up. HaHa~ I knew it was with a Calton and B&C double boxed the package but I just couldn't wait...

Here I grabbed the package at the FedEX distribution center on Monday!

Unboxed but gotta do the unwrapping here~

I love this moment!

WoW~

The fit and finish is just fantastic~ It was so hard to believe the sound quality of this guitar! 30's Martin OM sound right there from the beginning! This guitar totally exceeded my expectation in every aspects!

The grain of the BRW on this guitar was unable to catch without many lighting sources because it is so Dark.

After many failures I got this photo.

Now found home~

I will come back with some sound samples and review soon~

Cheers,

Alan

That's a beautiful guitar!

If you're looking for another luthier who has made his name with vintage reproductions, take a look at Per Marklund in Sweden:

http://www.marklund-guitars.com/guitar/

I had one of his guitars and he was able to do a 1931 OM-28 for me with madagascar rosewood and austrian moon spruce and bar frets with an under-guard finish. Very cool guitars.

Hi, Matt

Thank you for your reply. B&C really created a masterpiece for us! I love this guitar so much and incoming Circa 000-40 will make a perfect combo with this!

Of course, I know Per and he will send us a guitar sometime next year.

Default A sound sample

Here is a sound sample I would like to share~ In person, it sounds a lot better though haha! This one really does have that Pre-War Martin OM sound right out of the case. It's got Dri Mid and Clear voice with the impressive low end like the original. The fit& finish and the playability are fantastic. If you visit our showroom, you can always experience this beauty! I will come back with a review video soon.

Cheers!

Alan

Default Bagnasco&Casati 1933 OM-28 replica Build thread

Hi, Folks~

Truly Sorry for the roughness of this video. I don't personally own a proper camera so I rented from my friend for a day.

Unfortunately, I was very sick on the shooting day so I took a handful of medicine and did this.

I didn't know what I was talking about and didn't get many clips to edit. Hope to redo the whole thing again but it is impossible at this moment.

I learned a lot from this process and it will be better next time. We'll work on more videos with this B&C 1933 OM-28 later!

Awesome! I can also attest to the greatness of the Calton cases. Hoffee or Calton for me, from now on.
