I would put Howard Klepper in there, too, but unfortunately last year's fire has ended his career. Recognize that much of this is personal preference and omits a huge number of people whose work I've never played, though I've put my hands a on a lot of luthiers' work over the years at shows.
Juston, the phoenix is rising from the ashes. Howard is in the process of building his new shop as we speak. I expect by next year he’ll be back building again.

That's really great news. His work is outstanding.

DD, thanks for sharing!

Those Brondels look SWEET! I absolutely LOVE the Brazilian on those babies.

I was really impressed with the Brondel I played at Luthiers Collection years ago. It definitely caught my ear and put him on my short list of luthiers to look out for.

I've also started jonesing for a boutique electric, and I'm very curious about Brondel's electrics.

Keep the show and tell coming!!!!

Laurent is building the best Fender repros I’ve played. I own a Telecaster knock off.

Like Juston, I have one of Laurent’s “Honeycasters” (Tele) with Charlie Chistian PUs. Fantastic guitar...

I own both an A2 Essential and a Brondel Honeycaster Strat. The A2 was Laurent’s first Wenge body at my request. I already had three Brazilian bodied guitars purchased in the 80s, 90s, and 2003. By 2010 Brazilian was so expensive I looked for alternatives. My research revealed that Sobell and Somogyi had both started using Wenge as an alternative. I couldn’t be happier with the choice of it. Laurent installed a K&K in it. It cuts through during live gigs with a band.

The Strat is a hard tail with a Mahogany body, Telecaster bridge and pickup that gives me a classic twang in a Strat body. With EVO gold frets, they are jumbo enough to give me the best playability of all my electrics. Tone wise it is just amazing through my Tweed Deluxes turned up to 3.
