gk, fill me in...is that you playing the music?
Listened to the Russian war songs and loved the music and the playing. Just watching your fingers move over the fret board and the strings amazes me and makes me want to throw out my guitars...my fingers couldn't move that fast if my life depended on it. My heritage is Russian with both my parents fluent in Russian and Polish. They never taught the children because they wanted us to grow up speaking English, and the languages provided them a means to discuss things we weren't privy to. In the 50's, the state dept wanted my parents to move to Moscow and provide certain info from the ordinary citizens point of view. When my mother heard this, she told them there was no darn way she was going to spy for anyone. So ended my possible Russian adventure. When I listen to some old Russian war songs, I picture the people in the forests, possibly some relatives, hiding from the invader and trying to survive. When I see and hear your playing, I'm totally amazed. Thanks for posting, john |

Wow, wow, wow!
Really amazing and all the songs were new to me but really melodic. My kids gathered around the phone, drawn by the music and then oooohhhh'ed and ahhhh'ed at the playing. Those are not tempos or sounds they hear when I play!!! Thanks for sharing!!! |
