I'm new here and see some PSA-style posts here in the Open Mic. So, here's mine. 😅
Please donate blood. It is one of the most-needed things on the planet. Everyone very sick, trauma patients, transplant patients, burn patients ..... need your blood donation. Find a hospital in your area that uses their own blood and arrange a donation schedule of 6 times a year and you'll be doing your community a great service. Surgical hospitals, trauma hospitals, transplant hospitals, burn centers - all go through an unbelievable quantity of blood products and the cost for them to purchase, and pass on to you, your loved ones or your insurance company is staggering. Only as a last resort go to a corporate blood center. They take blood to sell at astronomical prices to hospitals in need BUT if that's all you have near you (that's doubtful) go there. Thank you.
