New face aging app
Has anybody here even tried this - or cared to? Apparently the Millennials are obsessed with it. Personally, I don’t want to see what I look like 10 years from now because I have pictures on my phone from 10 years ago and those lines that are now on my face weren’t there then - or at least there weren’t as many!

Nope.
Washington Post: You downloaded FaceApp. Here’s what you’ve just done to your privacy Forbes: Viral App FaceApp Now Owns Access To More Than 150 Million People's Faces And Names MarketWatch: Read this before using FaceApp — you give up more personal data than you realize on this Russian-made app I'm not typically paranoid about stuff like this, but in this case there are too many red flags just to get a look at how I might look down the road. |

Snopes already debunked all that.
Nothing is private on facebook in the first place. And I heard Russian cuisine is already getting better since they raided pics of all my cooking. |

FaceApp not Facebook. And I'm not finding a specific Snopes article about FaceApp. Link please?

It's a big mystery about Millenials.
On the one hand, they loudly condemn facial recognition software used for security purposes from a privacy invasion viewpoint. Yet, they readily embrace a "novelty" app that is a lot more insidious in funneling their most intimate personal information to a foreign owned collecting database, which happens to be in Russia. I fully agree with Jeremy: STAY AWAY!!!!

I read it. The Snopes article is from February of last year and doesn't directly address the FaceApp smartphone application with the aging feature that is all the rage at the moment. It's referring to an older and different implemention used through Facebook.
But the point is largely the same, so I digress. |

All I have to do is look at pics of my dad to see what I will look like 10 years from now. I think it was about 5 or six years ago that he started to appear in my bathroom mirror every morning.
If they want to impress me with an app, show me what I'll look like once I die and ascend and get my heavenly body.

Don’t be a sucker. I have kept my drivers licenses for years. Proof of aging.
