would this rig work in theory?

I have a Huss 00 and a Schertler Unico. Would a k & k Trinity solo (that is the pure pick ups + mic without the pre amp). and instead of the Trinity pre amp I would use a schertler yellow pre amp. I spoke to K & K and they said it would work as long as the the volts to the mic don't exceed 10v
Does that system make any sense? Thank you in advance and apologies for my ignorance
