Default Flyrig Acoustic

Did anyone try this pedal yet? I just got one from Sweetwater and have an issue I want to ask another owner about.

Hey I have already contacted them and they offered for me to send it in but I just wanted to see if it’s ‘normal’ before I do.

When the tuner is engaged there is a pop/beep through the PA. It’s very small but it’s noticable.

That doesn't sound right. Are you using the included power supply? Also what are you plugging the pedal into and have you tried different cables? Is the pedal on a hard flat surface?

Yes to all. Maybe I should just have Sweetwater send me another.

That's usually the best thing to do and quickest. Obviously the unit is under warranty but why deal with it if it's that way out of the box. Everything is tested before it leaves the factory but that type of issue may not be evident on the scope. I'll ask when I'm in the office next.

I have my eye on these as well. I'd love to see a user's review when you get a chance!

FYI I had the same pop when turning the tuner on and off. Mine is going back. Otherwise it’s really good, though I really wish it had separate chorus and delay. I’d give up the Reverb footswitch to turn chorus on/off. But the pop issue has to go.

So did I. It’s too bad we have to be beta testers now.

I'm sticking with the Trace Transit A. There were things I liked better on the Fly Rig like the low pass filter and chorus sound. But I want chorus and delay at the same time. The Transit is also stereo and has more ins/outs. The way the compressor works on the gain control works fine for me. On the FlyRig I'd gladly give up the reverb footswitch for a chorus footswitch if had the dsp to do chorus and delay together.

So Steve is aware of the problem and shouldn't be surprised when he gets my email tomorrow asking him to send me a shipping label. I shouldn't have to pay any shipping for a defective unit. I like Steve and he gives good deals.

I think my choice would be the soulmate acoustic but I’m using the TC Play Acoustic since I sing too.
