I've realized this month when analyzing the anthem, that actually both the lows of the element and the "pucking" attack of the element can be heard when the tru mic is blended fully. I can easily tell this because now I have the lyric sound to compare with... the lyric is free from the "pucking" sound.. which I think is good for intimate amplification.

I do think that the "pucking" attack or more often known as the piezo attack, is good for full band amplification, as this helps to cut through the band better.

From a sound person's perspective, I've heard the Lyric sound very good in certain guitars - without any substantial help (with EQ) from me. On the other hand, I've had to EQ it radically in my spruce/mahogany OM. I'm tempted to give it a try in my spruce/rosewood medium jumbo. If the guitar swap doesn't work, I'll likely just sell the Lyric for half price. ToneDexter makes it too easy to get a miked guitar sound from a UST or SBT.
