Default pickup for 0-15?

Acquired a new custom Martin 0-15 from LA Guitar Sales. Really enjoying it! I am contemplating putting a pickup in it. The K&K pure mini is what I'm thinking. Are there other PUs that should be considered?

Something with a microphone if you want to really hear the guitar the way it was meant to be heard.

I have a K&K mini in my D41 and think it sounds great through my Bose L1C.

Anthem or Anthem SL. Expensive but excellent reproduction - you get what you pay for. If you go with a K&K don’t forget to add in the cost of a pre-amp.

Dazzos. Why? With a K &K mini you are getting a common denominator pickup, one that was designed to sound good in as many guitars as possible. They do a good job of that.

With an 0 15, you need a pickup to maximize the lower frequencies a guitar that small needs. The Dazzo 70s you would put in your dread, might be 90s in a 0 style. I have a 00 15 custom, and two Pono 0s, one a twelve string. They have different pickups. The 00 has 80s, the six string Pono 0 has hundreds, while the 12 has 90s.

I run EQ flat with all of them. Then do yourself a favor and get a SunnAudio pre.

Thanx for the replies! I run a dual source k&k trinity in my om28 and like it a lot I run it through a Dtar solstice into a schertler unico. What ever goes into the Martin 0-15 will run through the preamp and into the schertler as well. I’m don’t think I want a dual source in the little guitar want to keep it simple without having to worry about adjusting the stereo eq and such. Any other suggestions will also be greatly appreciated.
