Default Final Pics

So at long last, the wait is nearly over! My Razo is on its way and scheduled to arrive tomorrow...

Jonathan sent me these glamour shots to tide me over in the meantime, so I thought I'd share them here.

I'll post a review once the guitar is in hand, and I've hand a chance to put it through the paces.

Thanks for following along!

Stunning. Jonathan definitely has the modern vibe down. It's a beautiful guitar.

So the guitar arrived safely on Friday afternoon to my workplace! Needless to say, my afternoon was not too productive workwise, but was really fun playing this new beauty!

It's even more stunning in person--just a total work of art! First off, this has to be one of the lightest guitars I've ever played. The action is beautifully set-up for my playing style (primarily flatpicking) and it plays so easily. I had Jonathan make the neck slightly deeper (0.02") than his norm, and it really works well for my large hands. Combined with the wonderful set-up, it really plays effortlessly--I now understand what it means when players describe a guitar that "plays like butter".

Descriptives of tone always escape me--I just know it sounds beautiful. This Razo is so lush and full. It has a warmth and resonance that I've not experienced before in a guitar. The bass is surprisingly full and present for a guitar this size, the mids are clear and well defined, and the trebles are bell-like without being bright or harsh. It has wonderful sustain that rings forever!

I'm really enjoying getting to know this guitar and look forward to hearing it mature as I continue to play it. I see this guitar being in my future for a long, long time to come. Jonathan really nailed it for me--and as I've mentioned before, I really look forward to seeing what this young luthier produces in the days ahead!

Haven't had a chance to try it plugged in yet--can't wait to try it out in a gig.

Thanks for following along!

Beautiful. Glad you are happy with it. Work it over a couple months and then give us your take. I know, it takes at least that long.
