that is the darkest set of ABW that i've seen to date. i like the way the sap wood contrasts with it. really smart looking instrument. i envy you all the builds you've had and are planning in the future.

Thanks all for your kind words. The binding is ebony and I must say there is not much difference in how dark the ABW is to the ebony. I am excited for final pics and to see it in person......Steve

That is one classy guitar. Every element of the design comes together in perfect visual harmony. The Blackwood looks spectacular. I love the headstock shape, and the cutaway, and the rosette... Seeing a lot of the Somogyi/ Kraut/ Kostal type of elegance here.
Just curious- what is the scale spread? Looks like about a half inch variance from high E to low E?

Steve...I had an opportunity to play this guitar Monday at Jonathan's place. It looks great and sounds amazing especially considering it had only been strung up a day or so earlier. Congratulations you are in for a treat.

Steve, I am the current owner of #6. I...TOO........was able to get my "guitar happy" little hands on this guitar. Well, let's just get real here and let me give you the scoop...it's a dream to behold. There are a number of people who are getting to know this young luthier (Jonathan Razo) and recognizing that he is destined to be something really special. No need to wait, I'm here to tell you his is creating some REALLY special guitars right now!!
This guitar has the fit and finish second to NONE I've had my hands on, and the tone of a guitar twice its value. The appointments really "pop"! Let's just say I love #6...it is opening up beautifully, but yours blows mine away. An absolutely a masterpiece of design and tonal excellence. You're gonna LOVE it.
