Default A Brazilian round peak for Rob

This round peak guitar (very much like a slope shouldered jumbo) has been in the works for some time. Its made of brazilian rw and adirondack spruce with cocobolo binding. Neck work is in progress.

More pics to come

Beautiful work, John! I really like how you trim out the soundport.

I have the same wood combination and bindings on one of my guitars. It really makes for a stunning look.

Thanks for sharing this...

Thanks Nemoman. Its actually easier to trim the sound port radially than longitudinally

Smile Go Rob and John

A couple years ago I got my first JK custom. It was a Round Peak.

I about fell off my roc'n'soc stool. Monster sound and tone for days. And very comfy with the bevels, too.

My THIRD custom RP is coming in this batch. John is getting even better every batch. Unbelievable...

Woohoo

Paul

Let me also chime in and join the chorus and sing WOWOWWOWOW!! Gorgeous. When I was contemplating a build several years ago John showed me that piece of wood and I knew it would make a spectacular guitar. When Rob and I visited John and he pulled it out and showed it to us in person, I almost jumped for it then, but although I now wish I had I'm SOOOO glad Rob did. What a gorgeous instrument that is going to be. I too love the sound port binding. That detail is something I wouldn't have thought of and it turned out to be one of my favorite parts of this build. That coco is just a magnificent compliment.

Congrats Rob...just one more of your guitars for me to be jealous of ha!!

John, I am curious what the dimensions of this guitar are? I don't see "round peak" as an option on your website, so help me with the width of the upper and lower bout and the waist?
