Maybe they look better in person, but the pics just don't do much for me, especially compared to some of the other great veneers they have. I guess I'm just not a green guy....

Now everyone knows why flowers are not bright green.

Yeah...to each, their own. I don't know why, but it seems that green might be the least common earth-tone color for acoustics.

Anyway, in my experience, Emerald's studio photos (while sharp and professional) are extremely over-lit.

Yeah, that is a lot of green. I think there are buyers out there who feel an "Emerald" should be green. My tastes run more towards the darker veneers or, I have to admit that I am quite taken with my red X10. That said, I think the Emerald folks know their market. I see that the X30 is already sold and an X20 has been donated to a raffle for the Oakfest Music Festival.

A close up look at the veneers shows how striking that Japanese Tamo veneer is. I had to do a search on tamo (a type of ash) to get an idea of what it looks like before color is added. Here is one example...

Pretty cool.

I think there's a green guitar cult following.

Yeah, please don't take my comments wrong....I fully understand that it's fully a character flaw of mine. :-) I can understand how others would love the green and I do like the veneer, just not all that green.

My recently acquired blue X7 sure seems to be a darker blue than my last blue X7. Usually looks black where the other one didn't. I wonder if there is slight variations in the colors. I think maybe....

Hoping the customers lucky enough to get one of the March select series enjoy it as much as I do mine...no matter the color

Not feeling the green... though I have heard it is good to be green which might be a frog thing.

I am so in the minority here, I love the green. I actually debated between green and blue on my nylon X7 and regret choosing the blue, I should have gone with the green.

Wicked;

It's not too late. Maybe a green one matching the blue one? If you are going that way, you might as well also get a red one. Then you'd have one for every mood.

Haha, got something in the works now - Kevin is sending me veneer photos on Monday, so another nylon may have to wait a bit. That being said, folks like kramster inspire me to order both at the same time if I can find a way to financially swing it.

I rather like the green too, especially under the more subdued lighting in the video.
