Thanks Treenewt - they do seem to be very consistent from everything I have read and heard.

Thanks for listening!

Nice playing, lovely piece and the Webber does sound amazing!!
I see your in the UK so i'm wondering if that guitar originally came from the Acoustic Music Company in Brighton? I know they stocked Webber's a few years ago.
I too own a Webber, a baritone with Cedar top R/W b/s here in the UK and i can tell just looking at the neck and headstock of yours that it's a Webber, i can imagine that me and you Wrighty are in a very small Webber's owners club over here!!
Keep enjoying the guitar, they are a bit special!!

Default Webber guitars

I have been playing my Webber guitar for over 10 years. It is an L-00. I have compared it to many other expensive guitars, Collings, Santa Cruz, Taylor, Martin etc. So far none have been able to match the quality of workmanship and sound let alone the price. David Webber is now retired. There are a few his out there, but not for long.

Interestingly Al's Webber and mine came in the same batch from David. His W00 is a lovely little guitar.

Default Lovely

Beautiful playing! I must say, that is the most elegant voice I've ever heard from a sapelé guitar. Stateside, it's a wood commonly used in the bottom bracket lines. I've built a lot of furniture from it because it's so reasonably priced.

Pardon my ignorance of tunings, but what tuning does that piece use?

Thanks - it’s certainly interesting what Sapele can sound like I guess..

Tuning is EADEAE but tuned down a half step in this case which is what Ed tends to do apparently.

Mahogany use to be considered as low rent too, at one time.

Yes, and that seems to have changed too.

Hi Perter, congratulations for this beautiful guitar and for your playing.
I am the "other" guy that came before you for purchasing the guitar
I have to say that Brian is a great seller and he was very helpful and ready to answer all my questions. For sure a great guy to deal with.
I wanted this guitar for playing the most famous fast pieces from Leo Kottke, but I wasn't sure if this guitar has a quick attack and if it is good for this style and since I live only 3 hours away from Brian I would have went and try it but it would take for sure one or two weeks.
And I wasn't sure the guitar would fit this style.
Since you were ready to buy it and Brian really need the money for his new guitar, I thought it was better for him to sell the guitar to you.
Enjoy this beautiful guitar and share with us some more music
