Man, so many influences, a lot of 'em already listed in this thread by other obviously great connoisseurs of music. But here are a few:

Allman Brothers - Idlewild South, really almost any of theirs
Rolling Stones - all of their records had great guitar tones.
Beatles - so inventive, great voicings, changed guitar tones on every record.
James Gang - Joe's da man. Also liked later Gang with Dominic Troiano.
Cream - Fresh Cream. I'd never heard a guitar sound like that.
Freddie King - Holy crap! Who's this guy?
Jean Luc Ponty - Cosmic Messenger. Daryl Steurmer is a monster player.

I could go on, but enough for now.

Several were influential but these kind of formed my playing.

All early Beatles
then:

James Gang, Rides Again, Thirds

Mark, Don, and Mel, 1969-1971

Amazing Rhythm Aces, Stacked Deck, Too Stuffed to Jump, How the Hell Do You Spell Rhythm

Elvin Bishop, Let it Flow

Outlaws, Outlaws and Hurry Sundown

Pure Prairie League, Two Lane Highway

Many others, but these had a lasting effect.

Grateful Dead ..... Europe '72, Mars Hotel.
Santana ..... 2 songs.... Samba Pa Ti and Europa.

But I ended up with an acoustic guitar for the next 2 or 3 decades playing mostly my own music. No regrets. 100% electric these days.

I guess there are three of us. Man that album was slagged by Rolling Stone and others on release!

Joaquin Lievano and Peter Maunu played guitar on this album, Daryl had already left the band. On the subsequent tour, Jamie Glaser replaced Peter Maunu.
