Default Tony McManus tab

Hi folks, my first post, hope ur all well,
I've recently been blown away by the Celtic guitar playing of Tony McManus and would love to have a crack at a few pieces, trouble is the tab for the pieces I like best are a bit hard to find or I have to purchase a whole dvd/book just for one piece. Anybody really into TM around here with access to tab for stuff like:
Maids of Mitchelstown - www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwZ5bxY5gTw
Bidh Clann Ullaidh - www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM37aJe3vqo
The Emigrants Farewell - www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBP70HDxa1k
"The Sleeping Tune" - www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNDAIuJvf5U
Le rêve du quêteux...www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHM1W65ACNY

edit another question
If you work out someone's stuff and tab it do you own sole copyright to the tab or does the composer have a stake in it too?

Hope u can help
I will post back if I get any joy from other sources.

yep, that is how it works, or at least how it works if Mr McManus wants to feed himself and his family.

I purchased his last DVD just to get the TAB for his arrangement of Goodbye PorkPie Hat. I figured it was a vey small amount to pay for the pleasure of learning it.

Sorry to be a touch negative on your first post 'round here but McManus will suffer more than U2 when it comes to handing out music for free.

Cheers,
Steve

Sorry, don't have any tabs.

Just curious why he puts the capo at on angle on this song if anyone knows?

This doesn't answer your question but I thought you could appreciate this experience.
Best Lesson I ever had...Last October (on my birthday) after my biweekly fingerstyle lesson with Raymond Ganzalez, I'm upstairs in the guitar show room of the Music Emporium here in Mass. and Tony McMannus walks in pulls out his guitar and proceeds to pay the entire "Chaconne" from the Mysterious Boundries album from beginning to end... almost a 15 minute song...blew my mind. A crowd had gathered. Afterwards all of us who were hanging around got to talk and ask questions. He was promoting his PRS guitars I guess and had recently done a concert in Boston. The thing that I took away from seeing him up close playing was how he had perfect left hand form like a classical player has (and I don't)...also he was extremely relaxed and made everything look very easy. He completed really fast and complicated fingerings as smooth as butter...with no stress in his hands at all. Also he is a really nice guy and answered any questions we had. It was my most memorable bitrhday.

or allowed individual song downloads. i used to buy classical sheet music one piece at a time why not tab?

Why don't you email Tony and see what he can do. Just use the email address on his website.
I emailed him asking how to get his 2 new DVDs in the UK (the UK Stefan Grossman website didn't have them listed), and Tony emailed me straight back and sorted me out.
Nice bloke.
