Default $1000 to spend on live rig

I have $1000 to spend on my live acoustic rig. What should I buy? Id like to build a rack rather than buy an amp( I already own a Behringer ACX 1000). Suggestions please!!

Waht pickup(s) are you using? What will be involved (solo guitar? vocals? etc.).

I have an LR baggs I beam pickup. I play in a trio with another acoustic guitarist and a vocalist. We already have a P.A. system. I am talking strictly acoustic guitar sound. Something or things I can plug into in front of the P.A. to improve my sound.

$1000 for making your guitar sound better: hmm....

If your LRB IB can accept a secondary source like a mag or internal condensor mic i'd first get one wired in TRS. Put a monster or mogami stereo cable out of that and go into a stereo preamp (Rane Ap13, Presonus AcoustiQ, or the mack dadddy Pendulum SPS-1). This will allow you to individually EQ each signal and get a phenomenal tone (i use the Rane AP13). Perhaps a stereo effects processor (Lexicon MPXxxx), rack tuner, and maybe even a volume pedal or something like an EB Stereo Vol/Pan pedal to mute from. Get an excellent rackmount box---don't build one unless you can stand the weight. I'd also put a Monster Power Pro 2500 in there---1U power conditioner that makes the power so much cleaner. Given retail prices for these items i'd say you could find a Rane for around $300 at worst (not made anymore), a Lexi MPXsomething for $100-300, a Monster Power for $200, an internal mic for $50, rack tuner for up to $150 and there ya go. No $$ left for a rack but these are worst case scenario prices. My rack looks something like this:

Furman Power w/light
Behringer Rack Tuner
Rane AP13
ART TPS
2U rack drawer w/guitar cables, eggs, chime, slide, strings....

Good luck on finding gear. There are lots of excellent choices out there and i'm sure you'll do well. God bless.

Best,
