Hi Kramster.

Good point. A photo of their NAAM 20 year certificate is posted on Facebook.

Small companies are careful about the benefits vs costs of going to NAAM: will the trade show and press exposure be worthwhile? will they be able to recruit new dealers?

Cheers.

I definitely am, and FWIW the actual color combo is darker and more appealing (to my eyes) than my picture indicates...

Here's a shot from LA Guitar Sales showing the Nashville Jumbo next to a Concert Jumbo with tobacco sunburst...

That is really not an attractive sunburst. The tobacco looks way better to me - but, then there's no accounting for taste, and it's not as if Rainsong is the only maker to offer a burst of this type.

I think I'd rather see:

Seems all too ordinary. I think Rainsong could use a bit more style.

The pick guard is way to Large!! Almost touching the bridge! IMO they should have used a square traditional headstock RS one looks off on this.

Burst finishes are always so subjective. Some folks like 'em, some don't. There are certain ones that I like, and others - well they should have left well enough alone staying with plain wood. IMO.

I put a pickguard like that on my WS-1000, but it is clear.

I saw a RS Nashville for my first time yesterday. It blew me away when I saw it. I thought the price tag was extremely high. When I took it off the wall and played it. I was highly unimpressed. That spruce-looking top doesn't make it sound like a wood guitar. But then I picked up the Al Pettaway Signature Edition. I couldn't put it down. I like the way the Nashville looks, but the looks gave me a false impression of what it would sound like. In my opinion, it is way overpriced.

I agree and wrote to Rainsong suggesting that they decrease the amount of black on both the upper and lower bouts. The bursts that I seem to prefer are those have a thin band of black around a lighter orange or yellow like the Martin dread you posted above...
