The HX stomp has a Looper? (it is probably still shorter than a dedicated looper)

Awesome! I may end up buying one of these eventually. For now I'll stick with my VE-8 as my go-to.

60 seconds. Good enough for practicing. I don't perform with a looper.

I picked up a G1on from Zoom to use for my acoustic and electric guitars when I want multi-effects for an amp that doesn't have any. I found the looper to be particularly useful and fun, but the 30 seconds is painfully too short. I figured Zoom would bump that up to the 5 minute level (for full songs) but no such luck when the new models came out, such as the acoustic multi-effects unit in this topic.

It's a pity, because memory is dirt cheap and there's no downside to having it longer. Zoom really missed their mark, because they would sell a ton of these pedals to folks who want to investigate looping but don't want to spend a lot of money.

I've used the electric guitar version of this pedal and the two footswitch looper interface combined with an informative display makes Zoom's looper implementation one of my favorites...except for being too short :~(.

Exactly! If the looping time were longer it would have been a perfect introduction to looping for the new user. The G1on works fine with my K&K Pure Mini pickup in my Taylor 322 and at 60 bucks brand new it's easy on the budget.

I waited for this year's new model, thinking that they would bump up the loop length, but NOOOO)! What were they thinking? The newest model has some changes to the user interface, but still that painful 30 second looping limit!

So I wound up buying one.

I really like it. The acoustic guitar "models" really do sound far more natural than my pickups alone. The effects I've checked out are really good, too. I haven't put it through the paces yet, but I can see this being my main unit if I'm just playing, and using the VE-8 if I'm playing and singing.

I was just about to ask if anyone ordered one. I’m absolutely floored by it so far. Wow!

The presets seem awfully bass heavy, so I have to dial that back a bit. Otherwise it gives a very natural sound. So far my favorite is to pick a guitar model (I'm using D-18 as a standard since I play a Taylor 510 - so "dreadnought") with a little compression and just a touch of room reverb to add a little air. And it sounds pretty amazing.

Looking forward to your video review.

What pickup do you have in your Taylor?

Thanks for that. I have no doubt there are phenomenal sounds to be found in this little pedal.
