The short answer is Yes, it can be fixed.
For a satin finish the only options would be: -Have the finish completed removed and then then refinished -Remove the tuners and polish the entire headstock faceplate with something like Meguiars polish and then buff it out to a semi-gloss sheen. There are many posts on guitars forums about polished out satin finishes. I personally successfully polished my Martin 000-18 GE faceplate and was really happy with the results and it was an easy procedure. I have also polished several full guitars with satin finishes and always had good results. |

Any chance OP could speak with the luthier who made the guitar? If this was my problem, I would not rely on the advice I got from a forum query and try to use that advice to address the problem.
