Hi Jaz761.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Those of us who've been around here for a while have known fast markets and so now we're in a slow one. It's all good my friend. Richard |

So, to be clear, the neck has a gloss finish, & the body is satin?

Hi Stevian
Yes, and very comfortable not really a high gloss... it fees much nicer than most. I think I like it much better than most gloss necks. |

Back on the market
I sent this guitar to John Slobod of Circa Guitars for his evaluation. John is widely recognized for his high-end custom "vintage" Martin reproductions. Anyway, John and I have been friends for some time. And I have been a customer of his on two occasions—both times with the result of me being in possession of a world-class vintage Martin reproduction.
John (and T.J. Thompson) initially looked over this guitar when I first bought it as a temporary OM until I decided on what I wanted to get next from John. This guitar was set up and PLEKed, and the action lowered to the max to suit someone like me who likes it to be as responsive as possible. John, however, always thought the original bridge was too low. I decided to send this guitar back to John and have him do whatever he thought was in the best interest of its next owner. (Yes, I'm obsessive-compulsive when it comes to guitars.) And I want whoever buys this guitar to love and enjoy it for many years. The new price is a hundred dollars higher than before for Forum members at $3100.00. That said, John's customers and you have the benefit of a true master of his craft evaluating (and then tweaking it to perfection) John just listed it for the benefit of his customers, who may be in the market for a very good OM at a modest price. Here's the link:https://www.facebook.com/john.slobod...21025985511154 That's about it. If you have any questions about any of this, you can PM me here or email me at [email protected] or call 860 876 2822. Best wishes and thanks for your interest. SOLD - Pending Payment: Bourgeois Generation Series OM-18
Looks like this beauty has found its new home. It's a wonderful OM perfectly set up. I trust he will be very happy with it. Thanks to all who expressed interest and regrets they could not make it theirs.
Cheers, Richard Geller |
