Default SOLD - Pending Payment: Bourgeois Generation Series OM-18

For your consideration, a mint-condition Bourgeois Generation Series OM-18 I purchased new last year from Acoustic Music. Org in Guilford, CT. This is a lovely responsive guitar with clear fundamentals and nice fat trebles. It will only get better with time.

This guitar features:
  • Torrified sitka top
  • Honduran mahogany back and sides
  • Shaller open-gear tuners
  • L.R. Baggs Lyric Acoustic Mic pickup
  • 1 3/4 nut and 2 5/16 spacing at the saddle
  • satin nitrocellulose finish

In addition, I also had this guitar PLEKed by T.J. Thompson and just set-up to perfection by John Slobod.
Including store discount, taxes and the PLEK work, etc. I've got well-over $3800 in this guitar. My loss is your gain.

Here are some more pictures from John Slobod. This is really an exceptional OM. John just listed it for the benefit of his customers, who may be in the market for a very good OM at a modest price. Here's the link:https://www.facebook.com/john.slobod...21025985511154

Here's a link to same model guitar being described and played: https://eddiesguitars.com/blog/bourg...lity-acoustic/

Very nice looking guitar, that wide grain top looks like adirondack.

Default Bourgeois Generation Series OM-18

Hi lcgeek,

To me, the neck feels in the same ballpark as most typical Bourgeois, Collings, Martin, Santa Cruz model guitars (other than those models designated vintage, authentic, etc., which are generally meatier).

The one exception in this series, since this neck does not have the birds-beak volute -- the soft-v profile seems just a tad softer just below the nut.

I'm used to those typical soft-v Bourgeois, Collings, etc. necks and find this and them very comfortable.

BTW, Bourgeois finished the neck with their same high-gloss finish rather than a satin-finish like the rest of the guitar.

Hope that helps,
Richard

I've got a Dreadnought version of this Generation Series and it's awesome. I can imagine the OM offering very much the same level of excellence.

Hi Michael,

It is indeed lovely - the right blend of warmth and clarity, highly responsive playing and understated aesthetics. I'm only selling because I had a chance to get a 12 fret from one of my favorite builders with no wait time.

Cheers and congrats on your dread.
Richard
