Martin Custom build
I pulled the trigger on a Martin Custom build. I hear its going to take 6 months to get it! I dont know if I can wait that long. I have not seen anything like what I was looking for so building was the only option for me. What are your opinions on building high end guitars through Martin? Is 6 months the accurate wait time?
thank you, John |

I bought a custom Martin to replace a vintage Martin that was stolen. I was pretty disappointed, though the original guitar set a pretty high bar. It took about 6 months or so. There are so many guitars in the world for sale now, that I now think I should have just shopped around and found one that rang my bell instead of taking a chance. Just my opinion...

My custom was in my hands 5 months and 1 day after I placed the order in 2015.
Best decision I ever made and worth the wait. I even drove to the factory the week they were fitting the neck to the body and got a picture holding the guitar with the custom shop designer who picked out the wood. Inlays, wood and exotic designs can slow things down on the build time. |
