Default Two Hands Guitar Co...Cocobolo/Tunnel-14

Hello Folks,
I've been working on a new build for a client, and I'm very excited to bring it to the forum. This is my Solis model, which is similar to a Grand Auditorium, with a 16" lower bout. It has a Tunnel-14 Redwood soundboard over Cocobolo, with Ebony bindings and rust/flamed-Pyinma/rust purflings. There is a soundport, an arm bevel, and a Florentine cutaway. It has a one piece Honduran Mahogany neck, which will be joined at the 13th fret. The nut width is 1-3/4" and the string spread is 2-1/4"

Wow Joel, you sure have some killer Coco. I love the grain pattern in the center of this one, the book match is perfect! Lucky client!!!

I've been watching the progress of this build from the start, and it is absolutely clean, precise, and artful in every single detail. Totally world class. The Tunnel 14 soundboard has the most amazing tap tone, and the Cocobolo, as you can see, is out of this world. It's an inspired pairing of finest woods.
Every guitar Joel has made sounds extraordinary, and I think when this one is done, it will have the tone and character to place it in the top .05% of all custom shop guitars.
Our friend, Jeff B., who commissioned this build (and who also owns one of my guitars) is supremely fortunate to have this instrument coming his way.
Keep your eyes on this thread, guys- It's giving a whole new meaning to the word, "superlative".

Seriously nice things going here in this build!

I'm reading through the thread and got snagged for a minute on Steve's comment that "Jeff B" was getting this guitar and also was an owner of an Edwinson... I thought wait, I'm not getting this guitar and I own two Edwinsons. Steve must be confused. Then I remembered chatting to another Jeff B when he was getting his Edwinson built.

Small world full of guitar-loving Jeff B's

Congrats Joel and Jeff, I'll be watching and rooting you both along from the sidelines as i wait for my Two-Hands Guitar in the coming weeks!

Yeah, Jeff, How cool is that- Joel has two commissioned builds going, and both of them are going to a Jeff B.! What are the chances of that?

Any other guys named Jeff out there, with a last name beginning with B, who would like to sign up for one of Joel's guitars? I guarantee, it'll be the best decision you ever made!

This sounds like the beginning of a great promotional idea.

Seriously though, I can't wait to see how this turns out. Nice to see your work here, Joel.

It is quite an interesting pattern...and the pictures don’t truly capture the minutia and fine detail that is really there. Thanks for checking in, and please stick around as we move along.

For anyone who hasn’t picked up on it by now, Steve is one of the most verbosely-enthusiastic, upbeat, and encouraging people you’ll ever meet. What a blessing it’s been to learn this craft under the canopy of his experience. Thanks Buddy.
