Lots of rock n roll tunes that were originally electric in nature.

My current favorite is BOC's "Godzilla".

Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers
I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones

One Headlight - Wallflowers
Radioactive - Imagine Dragons
S.O.B - Nathaniel Rateliff
Semi-Charmed Kind Of Life - 3rd Eye Blind
Talk Dirty To Me - Poison
Walking On the Sun - Smashmouth
I’m not in a duo, but this is the type of stuff I play at open mics:
Police - Message in a Bottle; Every Breath
Superstition
Stuck in the Middle - Slide
Mercury Blues - David Lindley’s slide version
Happy - slide
I Want to Be the Boy to Warm Your Mother’s Heart - White Stripes, slide
Girlfriend - Matthew Sweet
Brand New Cadillac - The Clash
I’m the Man, Is She Really Going Out With Him - Joe Jackson
She - Green Day
The Letter - The Box Tops
Use Me - Bill Withers
Life During Wartime - Talking Heads
Lonely Avenue - Ray Charles
Trick Bag - Earl King, Robert Palmer
Twenty Flight Rock

Light my Fire. (Doors version)

Wild Thing. (Troggs version)

When I was a professor playing at a student venue, they'd flip out at Wild Thing. Dancing. Singing along. Lot's of fun, and the fact that it was Professor Bufflehead up there made it extremely silly, especially if some of my own students were in the crowd.

Some great ideas here. I love arranging piano songs for acoustic guitar and vocals - Walking in Memphis, Daniel (Elton John)...

One of my students (not me!) does a solo acoustic version of Freebird.

Speaking of Elton, I do an acoustic guitar version of Your Sister Can’t Twist but She Can Rock n’ Roll and it goes down very well. Debating if I want to take a shot at Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting

Great thread by the way!! All great suggestions and good timing to learn new stuff with our home detention ankle bracelets on.

Comfortably Numb (sounds killer with a harmony)
Boogie On Reggae Woman
Cassidy
Fonda Lina (JJ Cale - gotta get the right hand down, great with a lead player or looper)
Dr. My Eyes (also harmony opportunity)
Eyes of the World
Mary Jane's Last Dance
If I Wanted Someone (Dawes)
Love Me Two Times (signature riff sounds awesome on acoustic)
Into the Mystic
The Way (Fastball)
Drift Away (crowd pleaser - sing along)
Joker (crowd pleaser - sing along)
While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Email me if anyone wants pdf sheets on these. I have most but not all. As you can see from the list some are just memorized from high school .
