Asleep (In the Garden) Easter song
This is a song I wrote years ago after being inspired during an Easter Movie I was watching. It was a scene in the movie where Jesus goes into the garden to pray with His closest friends.
I remember thinking how sleep can be so difficult to deal with at times. Those times when we want, or perhaps have to stay awake but can't seem to fight off sleep. Those times when we want to sleep but can't seem to find it. My research when writing the song lead me to a passage in the Bible (New Testament) Mark chapter 14:32 I'm not trying to be religious, just explaining the origin of the song. https://youtu.be/vsVapUoEG00
