Default New Guild Day

I got a GAD50 from a friend a few years back and loved it . . . but I kind of sensed that he'd really like it back . . . so we worked out a deal and it's back in his hands. That left me one Guild down . . . so I just bought a new D-140 from the Guild Westerly Collection. (Made in the Westerly part of China, I would assume. ) Spruce top, Mahogany B&S, etc. I wound up getting it from Amazon of all places. Scored me a really super nice price. Tone is really good. Appearance is amazingly nice. I think I have me a winner.

That’s one fine looking guitar, Al, really nice finish.
I’d love to play one.

Looks nice. I've played Guilds that checked all the boxes.

Enjoy it.

Very nice! I was super close to getting one of these a couple years ago but went with a different dread instead. Don't have that guitar anymore, and seeing this is giving me a little bit of GAS. That burst looks awesome.

I played a display model D-140 a year or so back, and it was very nice. And the OM version (the OM-140) is very good as well.

The fingerboard looks nice and wide. Is it greater than 1 3/4".??

It has a width of 1-3/4" at the nut. I'd describe the neck as Taylor-like.

Those westerlys are great value. I played a 000 size one that was all mahogany and almost bought it even though I wasn't shopping for anything that day!

I'm not generally a fan of sunbursts myself, but I like this one. It's like a dark root beer color fading into amber. It has the illusion of depth too, like you could almost reach into it.
