Thanks. I was looking for a new tuner and took advantage of the deal.

How are these better than the TC Polytune clip on and the NS Micro?

Thanks

Those reviews are from the purchasers of the first run (mid 2017), the clamp was a little smaller than the current one and was a tight fit on classical guitars with thick headstocks.
Also some people found the power button was hard to discern from the other two buttons.
Those issues were addressed last year with the addition of a raised center power button and a larger (wider jawed) clamp.

The NS Micro is a much less expensive tuner ($12) and is built accordingly. I have one but only used it briefly. Mainly because the clip was made of a thin plastic and had relatively small padding to protect the guitar. The StroboClip HD and TC Poly are more solidly constructed, well padded and super accurate. Both are great. I used the Poly for quite awhile but it was always jumpy on the low E and the Poly feature never seemed to quite work. Still I stuck with it for its accuracy and clear readout.

The earlier version of the StroboClip was also notoriously jumpy...but then Petersen came out with the HD version which has solid construction, high accuracy and calmed the jumpiness. Once I got hold of one my search for a clip on was largely over.

But, hey, if a Micro or Snark meet your needs - go for it. You’ll save a lotta money.

I have been using the first generation StroboClip. I had to ‘learn’ it. Once I did.... it was great.

I did order one of these. If it’s better... great. If not, back she goes.

I do think the even the first gen StroboClips are much better in terms of accuracy and flexibility than competitive products.

I have found the manufacturer to have excellent customer service. I broke a clip after about 3 years of use. I called and asked if they’d sell me one. They said no need and shipped parts at no charge. I appreciated that.

Default Sale over ?

Didn't see any mention of 20% off and there was no place to enter the SPRING2018 code so I guess the flash sale is over.

Mark

Edit: Yes, I used the link, but there was no mention of a sale and no place to enter a code in the cart, even after entering my shipping address and all my credit info. Tried again today and hit the CHANGE button in the first confirmation order box. That finally brought up the promo entry box. Strange setup. Never had that happen before.

Placed an order. Thanks for posting. I have an old Strobo Flip. This should be much easier to use.

Just now tried it. Worked fine. Dropped the price to $47.99. Did you use the link in my OP?

I was still contemplating on buying this or the TC Poly. This deal decided it for me. [emoji3] Ordered.

I have an annoying little collection of clip-on tuners. Just added a another one. Thanks for the heads up!
