It’s easy to raise or lower the posts and you can make minor adjustments to the intonation if it’s sharp. The placement of the posts would typically be determined by the strings the client prefers to use, or a general compensation for light or medium, etc.

Hello everyone! I just got back from 3 weeks off in the mountains of New Mexico. Our yearly sabbatical month. We touched down yesterday and I’m looking forward to wrapping up the second of the two I’m working on.

Good to hear from you! Did you catch the final redwood pics on page 4 at the bottom? I’ll put some of the Sitka pics up in the next few days.

Hi Chris! Happy New Year!
Very pretty bridge, and very interesting redwood. Much lighter colored redwood than I am accustomed to - I would have guessed it was cedar. How does it sound? jamie |

Speaking of which (and not wanting to hijack your thread), here is the redwood top on my Schwartz. Hope you can tell from my distinctly unprofessional photo. Not sinker, just super dark. I love the different ways redwood can look. And I love how good redwood sounds. |

Oh boy it was pretty grand. I was going to send you an email about it but I got distracted while traveling. We both loved it... very cathedral-like and complex sounding. Sustain was very long and it had this nice bell like clarity and sparkle to it.

I just installed the frets on the Sitka/EIR... EVO gold copper alloy to complement the fingerboard. My client wanted this particular striking black and white ebony fingerboard, which really drove the wood choices for the rest of the guitar. Up next I'll finish up the details and start the finishing process!
