Default Has anyone been folling the launch og the Origin Effects...

... Revival Drive? Lot's o' knobs and switches, lots o' geld, but, darn, it sounds fantastic.

Now, note that he's playing it through a clean blackface Twin Reverb at a level he can speak over...

The Revival (as in song one from the Allman Brothers album, Idlewild South) is a lot more than a drive, it is an analog simulation of all of the portions of an amplifier, including the power supply, in a pedal. It features two channels, one tube rectified and one silicon rectified. It is designed to work through clean amps or slightly driven amps and bright amps and dull amps, etc. Want to know more? Watch through the builder's five videos, starting with this one:

They were all ready to roll it out with a remote footswitch to add a couple of features whne users asked for a couple more features in the remote jack so there's been a little lag as they modified the first run before they released it.

So, how much geld?

A LOT!

Basic unit: $529
Unit with Re-Amp EQ $649
Footswitch: $100

Serious geld. Serious geld.

But listen to that thing.

No, it was not on my radar. Thanks for the alert, some of my favorite tones are from the 60s/70s. I like how the intermodulation was low and the chords were clear even when the sound was wailing.

Yeah, sounds awesome but lot's o dinero, my friend.

I think I'll settle for an EH Hot Wax for 1/10th the price and 80% of the mojo.

The stuff folks are doing with electronics nowadays gets more amazing every day.

sounds good but if you like that kind of pedal, it probably works with any amp, or even a PA.

it does have a bunch of switches and knobs that will befuddle some and entice others.

play music!
