One more NGD: Solid Canadian Mahogany Magic
Yes, I've been on a bit of a tear lately, seeing that only one of my listed guitars was with me this time last year. After a half-century of dabbling with guitars, I'm finally settling on what works best for me- mainly, anything short-scaled and wide-nutted.
Finally it seemed time to grab one of the past Seagull SWS Maritime Mini Jumbos left new on the market. The deal from my-blue-guitar was good, at $500 or so, and he only had a handful remaining. Everywhere I look, there seems to be a hundred dreads for one Mini Jumbo. Except my house, where they're slowly taking over. There's not that much difference between that and a Dread. By S&P specs, the Mini Jumbo is only a half inch shallower with an inch less waist width, but that makes all the difference for me. This plays plays beautifully, with a deep resonance to the sound that's delightful. As you'd expect, it's louder than my cedar/wild/cherry MJ, and much bassier. Since Seagull never made a MJ in its top Artist line, this is the best I'll get. Too bad, I really wanted that bird mosaic, but I don't hang my guitars on the wall and I can't see that when I'm playing.

Seagulls and Simon and Patrick are great guitars. I hope they are overlooked in the current situation.
I'd better leave it there.

Beautiful, yes Seagulls are great guitars. I like my Entourage Rustic so much that I gave it to my grandson.

The best birds fly free
My first Seagull MJ is now in my daughter's hands. She's finally growing out of symphony and marching band to try her hand at busking.

with sound port?
I'd love to see a photo of your sound port. How did you size and design it, and how did it change things?
