I did say the Boss was unusable for me but the XWS has been flawless...

Not all 2.4ghz wireless systems are built the same and dare I say sometimes you get what you pay for...

Neither the Sennheiser nor the XVive XLR transmitters supply phantom power. For singing I use an Audix dynamic, but for my video work I use phantom powered shotgun mics.

Hopefully my Sennheiser XS lav sets will be free from interference. When I sing, I can easily grab a cable if I have problems, but for my video work, I really need it to work without interference.

On the Sennheiser system, does anyone know if you can pair the 1/4” guitar transmitter with the XLR receiver? I would use that.

Also, with the XS system can you pair two receivers with one transmitter. I used to do that with a Sony system. One receiver for my amp, a second one for the house PA.

Yes to your first question and no to your second.

Methos....did you try changing channels on the Boss? Is there a way to cycle through different channel pairing options?

I have been using the Nux B-2 system for over 4 months now and have not had a single issue with them.

The fact that both the transmitter and receiver have indicators that show what channel you are on at a glance was the reason that I chose this over the Xvive system. They also have the 90 degree swivel at the plug.

I am using one for guitar and one for mandolin and I simply turn them on, set the channel, and that's it.

I live and gig in a small town but have used these units in mid sized cities without any Wifi issues.

Note: they do not work with many active pickup systems.

I do not believe you can change channels manually on the Boss, at least I didn't read in the manual that you can. I know you can on the Xvive but the Boss seems to select it's channel automatically based on what if 'detects' automatically. I have no idea how many channels it has access to during this brief operation. I didn't have time to try to rescan at that gig. Once that dropouts started happening during the first song it was game-over and on to a guitar cord.

What you are supposed to do is plug the transmitter into the receiver in the room with existing RF and wait for the LEDs to stop blinking. It's designed to be really easy.

I did this but in that room it didn't make a difference. Just way too many 2.4 gHz competing signals.

I unplug during breaks and reset the connection between every set.

Curious, was your mobile phone in your pocket? I had a drop out when it was in my right pocket.

Does anyone know if you can transport and store the Boss WL-20 system with the transmitter plugged into the receiver? I am guessing not since they go into channel selecting and pairing mode when you do that, but they might be designed to turn off after a period of time of being plugged in together.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. The part about charging twice was interesting/disappointing.
