While making the page for the Ceylon Satinwood JB-16 I discovered that I had not made one of the Olivewood L00, nor for the BRW/Adi D28 (FT-16-D) before that. HERE is a page for the Olive, and the Killer Dread's page will come soon.
And a pic or two, as has become my way: |

Assuming you have listened to the PodCast Michael Bashkin made with me a few months ago, today you can listen to Bashkin interview Eric Schoenberg talking about me (partly):

Speaking of Eric Schoenberg, I learned yesterday of the sale of one of my early (2004) Schoenbergs which turned out to be undocumented on my site, so I made a page for it using the new owner's pictures:

Bruce,
I'll buy your book simply because I've played a few of your your guitars. I was in Shoenberg's awhile back, played a wonderful pre-war Martin - maybe the best I've ever heard - and then played the two of yours in the shop. Both of yours were better, IMO. I look forward to your book. Jim |

But would you not expect as much from a Master Luthier?

New owner here!
Since June 28 I am the brand new owner of a 2011 Schoenberg ES-15C made by Bruce.
I admit that since then, and while I've been following this thread for more than two years, I regularly find myself reading Bruce's very first posts on this forum, starting with the oldest ones (I'm on page 270....) In short, if Bruce releases his book I'm in. Taken by the enthusiasm and under the effect of what I hear when I grab my guitar I am even ready to pay it in advance! Chris. |

I really like the idea of a walnut guitar. When I see even really
good seeming ones, the walnut used generally seems to have a lot of flatsawn. I was just checking out the available guitars on sexauer.com and saw this walnut one ... -Mike |

The walnut in the guitar you mention is perfectly quartersawn throughout! The medullary display (silking) is fantastic. The wood is otherwise quite pedestrian, by which I mean not flamed, but the silking is enough to keep it from appearing plain. The wood was a gift from a fellow we used to see more of here in AGF, Richard Feynman (spelling may be off) if I remember correctly, who used the handle “Otterhound”. This is a very good guitar and is modestly priced for what it is.
