Default Anthem SL True-Mic placement?

What are your recommendations for where to place the True Mic part of the Anthem SL when the bridge is too small and doesn't have enough room for it on either side of the bridge pins? Is it OK to attach directly to the top and if so, is it best closer to the soundhole or further back, behind the bridge?

Thanks

Here are some options from Lr Baggs. Someone actually did a clip of the three positions with the Lyric and they all sounded good.

Thanks but there's no room for any position on the bridge. It has to go either behind it or in front of it directly attached to the top. I could experiment but its a bit of a hassle since you have to remove all the strings every time to replace it.
I'll try and take a picture of the inside of the guitar so you can see what I'm working with.

Since the Tru mic in the Anthem SL is picking up high frequencies only (above 250 Hz), the placement is less critical than with the Lyric, which does all frequencies. I would first try and locate it as close to the saddle line as possible for better feedback resistance. And, I would start with it closer to the soundhole than towards to tail, which should give a more natural tone. You can adhere it to the top directly, but closer to a brace would be better for resisting feedback. Sacrifice a set of strings because you may have to do it a few times.

Hopefully these guidelines help and don't make it more confusing.

Definitely, I get that part. This is just showing that there are alternate spots you can put it and it will still work. It doesn't have to be on the bridge plate. As mentioned, it's not all that critical. The guy who did a clip for each position got results that were very similar.

OK I think I managed to squeeze it in behind the bridge pins....just barely. Hopefully it will stay put. Here's some pics to give an idea.

I can't see your pics, but what holds the Mic in place?

What’s the beat way to upload pics? I tried using Google photos.

basically I have 2 choices for positioning the Tru Mic. Which do you guys think is better?
1- On the bridge, on the far side of the bridge pins
2- on the top on the near side, inside of the bridge.
3- on the top, on the far side past the bridge.

I am thinking #1 would be best based on LR baggs diagram posted above.

I would think that ON the bridge plate would be best for both sound and output... but, seriously, CALL LR BAGGS customer service and tell them what you've got...

I've called them several times; they are very generous with their time and it's great to get answers "from the horse's mouth"!!!

Yes I spoke to them and they say to try all options and see what works best.

Anyone have any idea which position would provide a less bright sound? Closer to the soundhole or further from the soundhole?

Default Anthem SL True-Mic placement?

It sounded better on the bridge plate parallel to the treble sideX brace on my last guitar.

You mean placement #3 as shown in the diagram a few posts above?

Sort of depends if you interpret the drawing as a reflected image or section. But as long as it’s in the treble side near the brace it sounded a more neutral to my ears with a specific guitar I had. Good luck.
