Using a Looper with a Microphone
If you want to use a dynamic microphone to mic your guitar you can use a high impedance to low impedance adapter. This with change the XLR to a 1/4" TS cable. I've never had much luck micing a guitar without a preamp. I run two loopers on my pedal board. My RC-3 is loaded with generic drum loops I wrote using my DAW and is connected to a Boss double footswitch to start and stop and change tracks. The other is a EHX 720, which I absolutely love! It's a double footswitch looper which has the ability to store up to 10 loops. It also has the ability to fade out a loop, which I looked for, and wrote in this forum about, in the past. I play harmonica over the loop and when I want to end the song I tap the stop switch and the looper fades it out (to an adjustable time)and I continue with the harp until finished. Works fantastic!
