Is the Alix related to the Felix pre-amp in any way? Is it the same manufacturer? The silver model looks like a twin of sorts... same silver chassis design and same knobs.

$600? that's very high for single channel preamp. I hope it's under $400.. (well, never got my wish tho.).

Man.. I am still waiting for what the new look of Solstice. .

a rep @ Seymour Duncan said there won't be a new Solstice but some new product in a different form factor (perhaps a floor pedal design?) that will use a lot of the technology and guts of the Solstice. Didn't mention if it was something that will be debut'ed at NAMM this week or possibly/probably later in 2016.

Well the Grace Design Felix is about $1000.00 so I am not expecting the ALix to be extremely affordable. $600.00 is probably high but I would not be surprised if it was in the $500.00 range. I am crossing my fingers though and hoping that it's closer to $300-400.

Out of curiosity, what rep were you talking to? The only info I have gotten has been from John at Shoreline.

a general cs rep when I called the defunct DTAR phone number. Also sent a message to Frank Falbo after he messaged me about a used Solstice someone he knows has available.

It says "9V OUT" so I think that's an output, used to power other gear. I predict $599. I need to start budgeting for one ASAP!
