Default SOLD!!! Joshua House 000 Short Scale Cedar/Mahogany

Updated photos that capture the beauty of this instrument. This mahogany is gorgeous!! I'm not sure why these are sideways. The pics I'm loading are not.

Previously listed as an OM but due to the short scale really a 000. Up for grabs is an incredible sounding example from Joshua House. Cedar top and African mahogany back and sides. Single piece mahogany neck. The cedar top has some impressions and pick scratches. Also a few lacquer cracks - nothing penetrating the wood. Cedar is just a tough wood to keep looking new due to its inherent softness. There is a pictured area on the upper bout of lacquer hazing. All that being said, this 000 sounds amazing, and loud. It can keep up with my MJ’s. No kidding. Fingerstyle or strum, it can do it all. Excels in alternate tunings as well. Very flexible instrument here. Today this build would be $3,800.

1-3/4” nut
2-1/4” bridge string spacing
24.9” scale
14 frets to the body
Hide Glue Construction
Dovetail Neck Joint
Gotoh open tuners
Ziricote fretboard, bridge and headstock
Original arch top hard shell case included

Frets have recently been leveled and the setup is perfect. Neck angle is very good. Straight edge comes just above the bridge. Action set at 0.090” at E, 12th fret. Plenty of saddle left as well. Nice, beautiful, warm tone. Fantastic opportunity to own a hand made acoustic at a very affordable price.

"House guitars are unquestionably one of the best deals in the handmade guitar marketplace today, The quality of woods, advanced design, and incredible attention to detail are usually not found anywhere near this price." Paramount Guitars

Price is $1,100 (plus PP fees) shipped CONUS

Lovely guitar, I wish I could afford it right now.

House trivia: I believe I'm responsible for the shape of the fingerboard extension as I gave Josh a drawing of it for a guitar he completed for me in 2008. He doesn't always use it, but it is on a guitar I purchased from him last year as well.

I visit his shop sometimes as I live about midway between it and his home, but I try not to be a pest.

Very cool Mooh! Man if I lived that close to Joshua’s shop I’m afraid he would tire of me. Lol

We met when he was a teenager and took guitar lessons from me. Stellar student, nice guy from a really lovely family, quiet and mindful. We've discussed guitars a lot over the years. I have four (3 guitars and a bouzouki) but one of them is for sale...a very early 14 fret steel string on a classical/folk size body. I sometimes get to sample his guitars before they're shipped, and have played many of them at the local folk festival where he has a booth.
