Smile tbondo blues (electric blues)

tbon do re mi fa so la ti do (sp?)

or anyone interested in electric lead....

can't find the darn post...you mentioned electric blues soloing...

book/cd's and/or video....I don't care for videos though (in general)...

soar skyward in sonic serotonin (sp?)...

ok, ok...that was stolen from Mandolin Brothers website...

it's about sounds...

no peekin'...videos create an unnecessary distraction (opinion)

crochet bikinis are a different matter...sounds are not important...

where was I....

Robben Ford - Playin' (Playing) the Blues

Robben Ford - The Blues and Beyond

I'll say more about those...fundamental stuff...there are things that are awfully good about those books...some things about them are not....

what do you have for jam-along stuff?...

there are jam -along rhythm gizmos...

but

for ideas as to what type of progressions you might want to plug into those gizmos you might want to check out...

two book/CD's from the National Guitar Workshop...

Stand Alone Compact Discs - Blues
Stand Alone Compact Discs - Blues & Beyond

this isn't done...

MTrees,

Muchas gracias for the blues soloing book recommendations....if anything near to the Hanson books, they will be treasured sources of info in my house....crochet bikini bottoms????? and it's just the start of a long winter.....my, my.

BTW, if you lived in FL, and visited the beaches, guess what you would see all year round (give up??? bikinis....) just another benefit of FL living

Thumbs up

I can definitely vouch for the Stand Alone tracks. They are great to jam along with and are good practice. The man I take lessons from, Wayne Riker, did the Urban Blues Stand Alone Track. I love it!

Shea...I didn't know there was one called Urban Blues...have to check it out...Thanks...

They are good....one thing I wish was different about them...for someone working on their own it would be awfully helpful if there was a BASIC guitar solo and then another one that built upon that basic one...

tbondo...how do you folks ice fish down there?????????

First, we catch the fish.....then we open up the cooler, take out a beer, and then put the fish on the ice.....is there another way to ice fish???? Perhaps there is a fishicingish instruction manual that someone has authored about how to keep fish fresh by putting it on ice????

This reminds me of the management test where it asks how you put a giraffe into the refrigerator.
