Decision made. I keep thinking I should move on from the Applause until I play it. Then, I couldn’t be happier. It may not “fit in to a BG Jam from a looks and cachet standpoint” but if/until I get really into it, it will work just fine.

Well, GAS set in and I changed my mind. Just paid for a used Martin D-18 on Reverb. Two day trial period so somewhat risk free. Now to sell some stuff......

The D-18 is a great choice. If it doesn't work out, be sure to give a Yamaha a try.

I say take what you got - and see what others are playing and ask alot of questions .
if your tight on money Yamaha and Tak make some pretty good reasonable guitars -
but id take my time and have fun looking at whats out their.

If it was me -id take my old trusty '78 Guild D-25

Funny I bought one of the same model from GC and it too had a crack in the side.
