I didn't notice a wedding ring... Does that mean there's hope?! Keep up the good work! |

Good job. Thanks for sharing. A deep and mysterious tune. It must take a fair amount of patience to learn a song like that. One of my favorites of his and that is fun to play is Choro No.1.

I too am a big fan of his music and have been re-acquainting myself with his popular preludes as of late.

Villa-Lobos etudes are great, not only technically, but I think it takes some work of mind and imagination to explore and appreciate them...I've always liked how in this one melody builds on top of ostinato motif which keeps enchanting you to the end.
My respect for pulling it off and thanks for sharing! |

Hello Crystal,
I am starting this piece soon and thanks for sharing this. In my recent trip to Iserlohn, I worked on my posture and my hand position with some of the masters there. In watching your video, I must say that you are very very relax in your playing. This is something that I am trying to work on.

Sensitively played. The contrasting section starting at 2:00 was especially nice.

This is the first time I have hear this piece and it does seem to be a difficult piece. You played it well.
If you don't mind my suggestion, I think it could use more "attitude". More tonal and dynamic variation could do that. |
