I realized halfway through I was trying to lean to the left to stay away from that wall. Claustrophobia took on a whole new meaning with that video!

I don't get this downhill skiing lark, it's all downhill. The race should be about who can get down to the bottom and BACK UP the quickest.

Well that would be a hellof-a test for sure But given there was once a study that suggested during a Downhill Ski Race, the racer experiences roughly (if not exactly) the equivalent physical stress of doing 400 deep knee bends per minute. While they would likely have enough leg left to go get on a chairlift,,,,, but probably not to trek back up the hill under their own power.

Gotta remember that having a pair of 6 to 7 ft ,,, dual knife edged ski's with which to create torque and stress applied to the skiers legs and knees, is unlike most other solo athletic endeavors. As is evidenced in slo-mo's of turns and fallaway side hill traverses
