Default Irvin SJ custom cutaway

I am excited about this latest build I just completed. It's my first build using maple and I really enjoyed it. The specs;
Irvin Small Jumbo model
Maple back and sides
Austrian moon spruce top
ebony bindings
koa rosette and back strip inlays
string spacing 1 3/4 nut 2 1/4 saddle
25.5 scale
L.R. Baggs Lyric installed
Thanks for viewing.

Here is a short sound clip - simple recording with my iphone in my shop but it gives you a little idea.....

Wayne that is simply beautiful.
The rosette and binding and back are all just superb.

I have a maple Huss & Dalton MJ Custom and really like John Pearse Pure Nickel strings if you're looking for something to try.

oh, thanks for your most kind words. yes, I love John Pearse Strings. I usually use his phosphor bronze lights, but that's a great suggestion

I should have added that as good as my Huss & Dalton is .. it simply can't match the beautiful detail of your guitar.
Excellent work.

Here's picture of the strings I'm using.

Congrats Wayne, that's a beauty! I'm a big fan of maple, and your guitar proves why. Sweet clear voice, drop dead gorgeous looks, and you don't have to rob a bank to build with it. Kudos!

Steve

Smile Maple .... yum

My John Kinnaird Custom (the OVERLORD) from late 2018 is Western Red Cedar over flame Maple and it continues to sound better and better! And it sounded KILLER to begin with.

This axe here is a Beauty!

Sounds NICE too

Someone will be HAPPY

Paul

Thanks Steve! Really appreciate your kind words here. I had a blast working with the maple. this was a very nice and very white set. I was a bit concerned how the bending would go but had zero issues. hope all is well my friend.

Thank you Tom! very kind. Yeah, I had some really sweet pieces of koa that I used for all the inlay on the back as I thought it really contrasted well with the very white maple. really fun and a really fun guitar to play. Thanks for looking/listening
