I must be dense, I am not clear on the actual criteria for the concept "fake album cover" ?
Are we imagining one that we would do ?

Kev - you've got some great pics of snow removal machines and wild critters. Great album cover concepts.

Oh, man do I have a lot of those and associated things. It's been kind of an accidental hobby of mine. Let's see if this works as I just put a bunch I could find quickly.

1. I modified a famous early Pink Floyd poster for the Parlando Project presentation of Emily Dickinson's "May Flower" 2. A sculpture by Surrealist Leonora Carrington makes me think of that Smithereens lyric: "She held her bass like Bill Wyman and now I am her biggest fan" and I used a photo of that work for an LYL Band recording. 3. A photo I took of a classical Chinese sculpture used for another LYL Band recording.

1. Revised Fillmore East poster for Parlando Project Emily Dickinson's "There's a Certain Slant of Light" 2. Two famous images always meant for each other? Another LYL cover 3. Van Morrison's Veedon Fleece cover revised for Parlando Project version of Emily Dickinson's "Wild Nights" 4. British readers will laugh at the title of this LYL Band cover, US residents will wonder why they're laughing

1. LYL band cover goes for the cheap pun again 2. LYL cover references Constructivism and a Dave Moore song in which Harpo's Slim and Marx appear as one performer 3. The Parlando Project logo. Yes, I still play that old, cheap bass 4. Talking Heads cover parodied for Parlando Project's version of Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" 5. Did you ever notice that similarity between a Tao symbol and the Stratocaster?

1. LYL band cover parodies the Jimi Hendrix Experience "Are You Experienced" cover. 2. Modified late 1920s Paramount blues advertisement for the Parlando Project's blues recasting of Emily Dickinson's "The Soul Selects Her Own Society" 3. LYL Band cover "Moon Typewriter"

When I put together recordings back when I could play with others (such as the long time LYL Band project) I'd usually make covers and titles for the recordings. With my current project The Parlando Project (blog version) I'll sometimes make something to illustrate the approximate genre of the music I'm combining with various words (usually poetry) that I present in that project. American poet Emily Dickinson has been used a fair amount. I find some of her 1860s verse fits well into the 1960s psychedelia bag easily. So if you wonder what psychedelic Emily Dickinson would sound like or what if she'd recorded blues in Grafton Wisc. circa 1930 my project can help. If you don't, well, you're a sane person and don't need my help.
