Enya is gaining grounds here. They have HPL, Solid Tops and CF. If you wish to buy direct, you may try here:

Hi MG

Your T-30 sounds bold and clear. Now I'm thinking about getting a jumbo...

Have you tried an Enya X4? The Texas office didn't reply to email questions. Can you find out if the adjustable neck is designed to come off easily for travel? And the sound box size - width, length, thickness?

Cheers

.

Hi CM. Thanks for viewing. The Emerald X30 is a real good guitar, haven't test the newer version yet though.
Due to different time zone, I'm at work now and can't access some website with my office PC.
I can access local dealers for Enya but not the China website.
Both shops do not have the higher end X4 you are looking at. If they do, I might take a trip down to both shops and test it, cos I have not played any model from this make at all.

After googling some video of thwe X4...
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ENYA+X4

I notice the tongue of the neck (the part of the neck that's into the body top) is not glued or screwed down. It is a floating neck, so I guess there's only 2 screws holding the neck to the body.

That's all I can say, and hope that there's an owner or someone who had tested it can give us some f/b here.

Hi Kramster

Nice twins you got there.

It suddenly came to my mind to find out amongst brands (CF only), which is the lodest of them all, bearing in mind:
* all strungs with 0.12
* scale length from 24.75-25.5
* regardless of bodyshape (exclude Jumbo)

I hope to get some feedback and am really gasing for another CF guitar

Thank You

Thanks for the Enya info.

The question about removable neck is about being able to fly with it to festivals by packing into an overhead suitcase.

From videos I'm guessing that Enya X4 might be a medium size guitar so possibly not loud enough for large outdoor jam sessions.

When travel resumes at the end of COVID restrictions, the best candidate may be a Journey Instruments FF-GA which is a wood guitar with a large 16" x 18" x 4.5" soundbox and detachable neck. I'm hoping Journey will offer a carbon fibre version soon.

Cheers.

they already had one out...

I changed the stock pickup of my OF660 to a LR Baggs n it records very well, but a tad soft when unplugged.

Below is a song that I wrote n a friend in NY help out with the keyboard, drums n backing vocals. Look not on the content of the song, but the sound of the plugged in Journey OF660. This is the only video I did with the OF660.
