2021 Victory HV-28 Acoustic Guitar
For Sale: Victory HV-28 Acoustic Guitar. $4199 or Best Offer. This is a brand new handmade Dreadnought guitar. I build these guitars one at a time with attention to detail and craftsmanship. Each guitar is unique in appearance and sound. This guitar is very loud, with a tight focused sound and well balanced bass and treble response. Indian Rosewood back and sides with a Sitka Spruce top that has some Bearclaw figuring, which increases the tops stiffness contributing to this guitars punchy response. Ebony Bridge and Fretboard also contribute to this guitars great sound. Waverly handmade tuners are carefully and precisely fitted to the headstock which has a faceplate of Rosewood. These tuners are old style open gear design with press in bushings. These bushings allow string vibrations to be transferred to the headstock more efficiently than modern tuners which have a threaded bushing which only contacts the headstock through the top nut which sits on the finish. The string posts on the Waverly's are in direct contact with the bushings making for this solid coupling. The neck on this guitar is Mahogany and has a thick profile. The added mass of this neck contributes to the guitars overall volume. Hard unbleached bone nut and saddle provide a solid material to transfer the strings energy to the body. 5 degree Abalone adorned bone string pins not only look great but also contributes to this guitars great sound. The bridgepin holes are tapered to ensure a solid coupling from string to bridgeplate. Nitrocellulose lacquer has been applied and hand buffed producing a very fine even finish. Mechanical buffing wheels do not produce such a consistent finish as they can leave the final finish uneven and wavy. 5/16" scalloped bracing has been precisely fitted with clean tight joints. Curly Maple binding and Herringbone purfling and rosette gives this guitar a warm vintage appearance. This guitar has a 25.4" scale length and has Martin Authentic Acoustic Phosphor Bronze 56-13 strings installed. Serial # 21021203. Supplied Humidicase keeps guitar safely humidified. This guitar will have another sibling soon, Same specs except Torrified Sitka Spruce top and a Madagascar Rosewood bridge. Finish will be shellac. It should be done in a month
