Default Soundwide plugin group is formed

I'm not quite sure what this is going to look like in the end but Native Instruments, iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx have formed what they are calling a "new audio supergroup" named Soundwide.

They're kicking things off with a free plugin package that is worth grabbing. The package includes six Plugin-Alliance plugins:
Black Box Analog Design HG-2
Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor
Ampeg SVT-VR Classic bass amp
Brainworx bx_masterdesk
bx_oberhausen
bx_console Focusrite SC

You also get Native Instruments’ Ethereal Earth as well as iZotope’s Neutron Element package.

The PA, NI, and iZotope offerings have to be downloaded from three separate pages. The links to all are on the page I linked above.
Note: the PA download requires using the code: JOINSOUNDWIDE

Here's a Facebook link, started by Dirk Ulrich (main guy at Plugin Alliance/Brainworx), with his (rather long) press release concerning the formation of Soundwide.

Wow. I knew this was a big more but I didn't realize how much money was really behind it. It will be interesting to see where this goes as this group is now positioned to offer quite an impressive subscription service, if that's the direction in which they're heading. The one key element that is far too light (and I think it was you that pointed this out in the other thread) is reverb and delay, so I'd expect to see those products developed in-house fairly quickly or for the group to absorb another company known for reverbs.

All they have to do is convince Liquidsonics to join the group.

I suspect you may enjoy the bx_Masterdesk, Black Box HG2, and Shadow Hills Classic Compressor.

Those are the exact plugins I had hoped to pickup during the new "Forever 29" deal, so job done for me! Having the Focusrite channel strip is nice, too.

The bx_Masterdesk is an updated version from the original. The Black Box HG-2 and SH Classic Mastering Compressor are the original versions, each of which have updated versions (SH Mastering Compressor Class A and Black Box HG-2MS).

Understood. The original Shadow Hills and Black Box are the versions I trialled ages ago. I liked them, but didn't feel I needed them for any specific project or general use, at that time, at that cost.

Now that I can trial the free versions over a longer period of time I will see if they warrant upgrading to current versions at the new "Club" price.

Yes I just downloaded them I have to admit the PA sight is a bit convoluted to get them downloaded (at least the way I did it using the installation manager and having to find the free plugins out of the master list ?)
I did briefly try the SH Comp and it sounds pretty good ( not quite as good as my HW unit) But I am guessing with practice I could get pretty close That said I'll have to download the manual
The other two look interesting also

...
The free plugins are under the "Bundle" tab, sub-choice Soundwide Free plugins. Two clicks and you're there.
