I use the JBL Eon One Compact, which I think is great. I like the digital EQ and the functionality of the app. You can get it for around the same price as the Bose S1. Have a look at the features to see which one is best for you.
The Traynor TVM15 is a cheaper option that I thought sounded decent when I tested it. No reverb on it though. Not necessarily feature packed. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. |

I’ve looked at a plethora of You Tube comparisons between the Bose S1 and the JBL Eon Compact.
It really comes down to your auditory preferences. For me, the major advantages I see in the S1 are: 1. Sound dispersion, typical Bose room-filling sound. 2. Very clear and distinct high frequencies and especially at higher volumes. 3. More natural sounding reproduction. I think the JBL would appeal to me more as a rock or hip hop speaker used for playing streaming audio or something similar. YMMV
