I've played for 56 years worked on guitars for 23 years, rebuilt old Martins and Gibsons, worked on Yamahas,Taylors ect. Even repaired and setup a few Yaris. I think the Yari is the best overlooked acoustic on the market I was impressed with the build quality and over all tone. You got a beauty there I'd love to play it! I'd hang on to that one.

Forgive me for asking this (I know ultimately it's none of my business), but did you take the pickguard off?

Pretty sure it's a clear pick guard. It is on my WY1 cedar top.

Great looking guitar, and I'm sure it plays/sounds amazing! Yairi guitars are special...

Beautiful guitar. After owning a Alvarez ap66 for a few months, the brand has really won me over, that Yairi is definitely on my short list of guitars I'd like to own some day.

Look closely at the first picture he posted, it's a clear pickguard (enlarging the picture helps).

these are amazing small body 12 frets. i owned one. top tier build, balanced tone across the strings, and this model has 1 13/16" nut width and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, if memory serves, i think the scale length was under 23". So, even though a short scale, the extra width of the FB comes in handy.

that pickguard was actually under the finish on mine. i can't remember the type of finish used, whether nitro or poly, but it was very well done. everything was as perfect as humanly possible, excellent setup and fretwork, bone nut and saddle. amazing instrument.

Yes it's definitely a clear pick guard. Stunning guitar, unique bridge design, beautiful slot head detail. Enjoy in good health.
