No, Empire Music in Pittsburgh.

Thank you; there aren't many options for this line.
You can choose natural or Ambertone, Aged or not, D or 000. That's pretty much it.
No chance for substituting mahogany back and sides, for example. hopefully, the line will be successful enough to add other woods and sizes.

A fantastic looking guitar, throwing some good shade around!
For me the mod v neck is my only option anymore, it’s like home. Those details like rolled edges are bees knees when you’re in the know.

That's just sexy! I'd love to see some close up photos of the crazing.

At the moment, this is the only closeup I have.

Congrats on an amazing guitar! It looks STUNNING my friend! I can only imagine how special it sounds if you got rid of your OM-18 for it. How would you describe the projection and fullness of sound from your new 000?

Thank you! I had moved away from RW Martins as they tended to have a great deal of overtones (at least those I owned). These sounded great fingerpicked, but got too muddy strumming.
So I moved toward mahogany, as it maintained its composure. I had an 0000-18 VTS Sinker, then an OM-18 Sinker. Both great guitars. I'd noticed that the OM had a weaker low-E string than I prefer, plus I'm gravitating toward short-scale guitars these days.
So when the Custom Authentic series was announced, I was very intrigued. It turns out a dealer in Pittsburgh was one of the "expert" dealers getting the first allotment, and I arranged to be notified when they came in.

Anyway, to answer your question, I was very pleasantly shocked at how good EIR can sound; it wasn't muddy, good low end. The thin Adi top and Authentic bracing really allow the whole guitar to breathe. It's just effortless to play! I did try both the un-aged version as well, but frankly the Aged is quite a bit better. There was a ping-y high end on the un-aged that was entirely absent in the Aged. It is well worth the extra cost to me!

Thanks for the great reply. That background information was super useful and mirrors my experience with a lot of rosewood back/side guitars. They can be so resonant the inherent reverberation can be overwhelming. (Impressive at times, perhaps more so for finger style)

I also value your comments about the aged top versus the more ping-y sounding non aged top. I will keep that in mind. I may opt for a Martin Custom in my future. (Or maybe a custom order to my specs)

At any rate, your 000-28 is beyond gorgeous. I'll bet the short scale feels great too! Well done sir.
