Default Acoustic Setup?

Anybody have a good YouTube video on acoustic setup? There are a million, just thought folks on this site could cull out some bad ones.

My thought is that the saddle needs shaving. I've adjusted the truss rod as much as I feel it needed. The neck is pretty straight as far as relief now. The strings appear to fit the nut well and height at nut looks good.

Just looking for guidance. And if I am wrong I'd like a concise explanation.

That's what I'm talking about. That's why I like this forum. Ask a question, BAM!

A luthier hits you with his article.

Thank you. I'll definitely check it out.

As far as culling out the bad ones is concerned, I would recommend paying no attention to anything posted by Randy Schartiger on Youtube.

His videos are too long winded. The "Daves fun stuff" guy is more entertaining but he's not very instructional. Just films what he's doing with comments.

My Alvarez also needs work. The saddle on it just crumbled/splintered under the B string. So it buzzes.

So it's time to replace that.

Hi All
Appreciate the PDF Charles has posted for setting up an acoustic and have bookmarked for future reference. Thanks Charles Still wondering...Is there any instructional video that shows, in practice, what the above PDF covers in written word? Thanks.
Mark

Charles Tauber's article is the best and most thorough I've seen on guitar set-up.

Not perfect, but this video shows setup and how the various steps interact in a easy to digest graphic demonstration:

This one is quite good - well-spoken and well edited - but he mainly works on electrics:

Charles Tauber's written article on setups is my #1 go-to. I have read it and made notes from it many times. It is more thorough and useful than anything I have found in video format.
